April Eighth Twenty-Eleven

A personal account of my participation in the April 8 protests in Tahrir (coined “Purger Friday”), which were marked by a number of dissident unarmed army soldiers and officers joining the protestors, and thoughts about the violent crackdown on and dispersion of the subsequent sit-in, which came to be known as the April 8 Sit-In.
