A Glass Candidate to Shatter the Glass Ceiling?

It’s sad to observe how in discussions about viable candidates for the upcoming presidential elections Bouthaina Kamal is completely absent. I mean, sure, she makes TV appearances and gives interviews, and she is generally lauded by revolutionary forces and activists for her personal courage, her daring stances and revolutionary inclinations; yet, in personal conversations with people I know, or in the more public discourse, be it discussing “best bets” and who “we” as the revolutionary forces should put our weight behind, or simply exchanging views on who one is inclined to vote for (if at all), she is never mentioned, and I don’t mean just dismissed as a non-contender or criticized for her positions or program, I mean not even mentioned, like she weren’t there, like she were glass.
